The Finish Your Race tee was birthed during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. After my husband passed away, I found myself standing at a crossroads. We had stewarded ministry together, served together, and carried the vision God had entrusted to us side by side. Suddenly, I was faced with questions I never expected to ask.

Does it stop here? Do I keep going? Lord, what do I do now?

As I sought the Lord, He continually led me back to His Word. One passage in particular gripped my heart: Joshua 1:2. After the death of Moses, God spoke to Joshua and called him to rise up and continue the assignment. Moses had faithfully carried the people to the edge of the Promised Land, but Joshua was called to lead them into it.

In that moment, the Lord reminded me of a powerful truth:

What He begins, He finishes.

Sometimes God starts a work through one person and brings it to completion through another. Moses poured into Joshua. He modeled obedience, faithfulness, and service to the Lord. After Moses was gone, Joshua had to take everything he had learned and walk it out for himself. He could not remain frozen in grief. He had a race to finish.

The Lord showed me that the same was true for my own life.

My husband’s absence was not meant to become the place where my purpose stopped. Instead, I was called to take the lessons, wisdom, and example he left behind and continue running the race God had set before me.

It’s a reminder that no matter what loss, setback, disappointment, or transition you have faced, God is not finished with your story. The race He has marked out for you is still before you.
